LED Lightbars has been set up as part of JD Communications and is run by myself John O’Donoghue. I’ve been in business providing telecommunication products and services in Kent, England for more than 10 years now. I’ve been interested in emergency warning lights for longer than I can remember. It was this fascination with these devices that led me to set up a hobby website www.hotlightbars.com This led to considerable research (the site is not finished yet), what I found was the big brand name lightbars cost an absolute fortune. I thought there has to be a better way and started looking around to see if I could source these products more cheaply and find a supplier that combined quality and value for money as a package.
Initially I started to sell light bars imported from the far east but these proved troublesome in that it often takes a month to get the product to the UK, and there were some issues about thier suitability to use on the road (type approvals legality etc). This led to more searching and the agreement with a UK company to allow me to sell thier products.
The company in question is Redtronic Limited based in Halifax in the north of England. This company struck me in the dealings I have had with them as 'totally professional' in everything they do. The lightbars they make are built from the ground up so to speak, meaning that they produce everything 'in house'. The LED modules they use are completely manufactured at the factory from the individual LED diodes, which are built into the reflector assemblies and then into the lightbar. The frame, the plastic lenses, the mounting feet, the electronic circuitry are all designed and manufactured at the factory in Halifax. None of the products are imported fro the far east.
Redtronic Limited are an electronics company with more than 20 years experience in manufacturing, so they know what they are doing. They produce the 'Mega-Flash range of LED Lightbars and LED Lighthead Kits, which are suitable for nearly every emergency vehicle use required of them. Importantly in this day and age, all products carry the appropriate 'type approval' and have been properly tested which makes them legal to use on the road.
